Italy: Ancona Dolphins chase undefeated record in week 4 matchup against Lazio Ducks

The undefeated Ancona Dolphins will look to claim their third victory of the season today against the Lazio Ducks in this week 4 matchup in the Italian Football League.

The Dolphins have gone from strength to strength since their week 1 win over the Warriors Bologna. Quarterback Colin Di Galbo started off a little shaky in his Ancona sophomore year, throwing for 177 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Last week the Dolphins got a chance to go up against the Milano Rhinos, offering them a far more complete stomping. Di Galbo stepped it up significantly, throwing for 224 yards and three touchdowns. The Ancona defense stepped up too, not allowing a single touchdown and forcing four turnovers.

On the other side of the ball will be the Lazio Ducks and quarterback Calvin Stitt, who are in a remarkably similar situation to the Dolphins. After a week 1 beatdown by the Milano Seamen, who held Stitt to just 29 passing yards, the Ducks went on a tear. Stitt was able to make plays with both his arms and his legs.

The young British-American quarterback took the game down to the wire against the Rhinos and came out on top, throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns and running for 68 yards and a touchdown.

Stitt and Di Galbo do offer both offenses something similar, but it may be their defenses who decide the game. Each side has taken a swing at the Rhinos in recent weeks and come out on top. But while the Dolphins gave up on three points, the Ducks gave up 27 and a whole lot of yards. It will be the team that contains the opposing quarterback best that decides the outcome.
