Italy: Milano Seamen sign Stefan Pokorny as HC

Austrian Stefan Pokorny has agreed to terms to be the next head coach and defensive coordinator of the Milano Seamen.

Pokorny is excited to lead one of Italy’s premier clubs:

“Thank you to the Seamen Milano organization for your trust. I am looking forward to my time in Milano. A presto!”

Pokorny has been the head coach of the Ssangyong Danube Dragons of the Austrian Football League since 2016. Overall the Vienna native has spent 21 years with the Dragons as a player and coach. His accomplishments with the Dragons include a 2018 Coach of the Year award, four playoff seasons, and reaching the league’s semi-finals for three consecutive seasons. Pokorny has also spent time with the Austrian National team helping them earn second place in the 2014 and 2018 European championships.
