Germany: Kiel Baltic Hurricanes v. Dresden Monarchs

In Germany a treat is in store on Saturday as Europe #3, the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes take on Europe #4 the Dresden Monarchs. This is the second time they faced each other this year. In the opening game of the German league season , Kiel came from behind with two touchdowns in the last three minutes of the game to stun the Monarchs 33-29.
Kiel has the second leading defense in Germany while Dresden has the number four offense. This game should be a treat to watch.

Kickoff:  3 PM German time. (9 AM EST).

 

Braunschweig New Yorker Lions v. Cologne Falcons

The other match-up in Germany has the number one team in Europe, the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions hosting the Cologne Falcons on Sunday August 17.. The Lions are undefeated in German league play so far this year while Cologne enters the game at 5-3. The Falcons lost to Braunschweig last week and will be looking to avenge that defeat.

Kickoff: 3 PM local German time (9 AM EST).

 

Sweden: Uppsala 86ers v. Stockholm Mean Machines

In Sweden also on Sunday, the Uppsala 86ers travel to Stockholm to play the Stockholm Mean Machines. Uppsala was all but eliminated from the playoffs last weekend in losing a thriller to the Kristianstad Predators. Meanwhile, Stockholm has struggled this year as they are undergoing a major rebuilding. The once mighty Mean Machines, winners of more Swedish titles than any other team in league history, will be looking for a measure of revenge as they lost to Uppsala 42-20 earlier in the season.

Kickoff: 4 PM local Swedish time (10 AM EST).
