The top spot in France is up for grabs as the Flash de la Courneuve travel to Thonon-les-bains to face the Black Panthers in week 9 of the FFFA’s Elite Championnat.
This is the first meeting for the two clubs this season. The Flash (7-1) fell 38-31 to the Aix-en-Provence in week 7. The Black Panthers (7-1) only loss also comes to the Argnoutes in their season opener back in the beginning of February 27-21.
The Black Panthers boast the top offense in the league behind the rushing attack of Andreas Betza, Stephen Yepmo and Vincent Begou. The Flash have the best defensive unit in France led by middle linebacker Rayan Khefif who leads the league in tackles.
Thonon is coming off a huge win last weekend over Germany’s Berlin Adler which advances them to the European Football League championship game against the Milano Rhinos from Italy.
