The Alpine Rams (1-4) welcome the London Warriors (2-4) for an American Football League Europe rematch after the Rams rallied for a dramatic 23-20 road victory in the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season.
That game delivered one of the league’s most entertaining contests, and both teams head into this matchup looking for a result that could provide momentum heading into the closing weeks of the season.
Remembering the first meeting
The Warriors appeared to be in control during the opening half of the first matchup. A defensive safety, a 46-yard reception by Marcus Libman and a touchdown run from Raymond Sobowale helped London build an early advantage in front of the home crowd.
The second half belonged to the Rams.
Quarterback Seth Morgan found Kevin Kaya repeatedly after halftime, with Kaya finishing the comeback effort with six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. Braden Price then came up with the game’s biggest defensive play, intercepting a pass to help seal the Rams’ first AFLE victory.

Warriors seeking revenge
Since that loss, the Warriors have picked up two victories, both against the Firenze Red Lions, but are still searching for consistency. The addition of Tyrell Bovelle has given London another weapon in the running game, but the club is still looking to put together a complete performance.
A road win over the team that handed them an early-season setback would be an important step forward and provide a boost of confidence for the remainder of the campaign.
Rams looking to build
For the Rams, the challenge is turning flashes of strong play into sustained success. Morgan and Kaya showed in the first meeting they can stretch opposing defenses when their passing game gets into rhythm, but Alpine has struggled to produce that level of execution on a weekly basis.
Playing at home gives the Rams another opportunity to prove the first victory over the Warriors was no accident. Meanwhile, London arrives motivated to even the season series, setting the stage for another competitive battle between two teams with plenty still to play for.
