LIVESTREAM Austria: Prague Black Panthers @ Mödling Rangers, June 5, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET)

The Prague Black Panthers (1-3) will visit the Mödling Rangers (0-5) in this Austrian Football League mathchup. In an odd pandemic effected schedule these two opponents faced each other only one week ago in an exciting 27-20 win for Prague.

Prague was able to leave Austria with a win for the first time all season in a back and forth game against the Rangers last week. Quarterback Zack Greenlee played well throwing for two touchdowns and 161 yards. The running attack of Ladislav Jensik and Henry Douglas Ofori Dankwah combined for 129 yards on the ground and was key in controlling the clock and sealing the victory.

Defensively, Prague was able to force turnovers and get to the Rangers quarterback often finishing with six sacks. Look for big defensive end Jakub Smutny to be in backfield again today as he notched three sacks and multiple hurries last week.

Prague’s quarterback Zack Greenlee commented on seeing the same defense two weeks in row:

“Definitely an interesting dynamic, but we’re ready to get to work. We will focus on watching the film and correcting our mistakes, then prepare for this weekend.”

The Rangers played their best game of the season falling just short of a home victory. Austrian quarterback Benjamin Bräuer threw for two touchdowns and 156 yards while rushing for another 44 yards. The star of this Mödling offense is without a doubt Nick Milgate. The two-way player totaled 162 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. Look for Milgate and Bräuer to be the leaders on offense once again today. Rangers signal caller Bräuer commented on preparing for Prague two weeks in a row:

“It’s tough and at the same time good! They are a really good and solid defense and after last game we know what we will get but they also know what they will get from us. So, at the end it all comes down who prepared better this week for Saturday.”

Defensively, Austrian national team defensive back Benjamin Formann is a player two watch as he made a clutch red zone interception last week. Defensive lineman Adnane Rekibi will  be vital in stopping Prague rushing attack. The young Frenchman took on the challenge last week making an impressive 5.5 tackles from the nose tackle position.

If this game is anything like last week, fans will be on the edge of their seats for four quarters. These two evenly matched teams will be looking to use all the film and knowledge form last weekend to get the upper hand today.
