LIVESTREAM Austria: Salzburg Ducks @ Vienna Vikings, April 30, 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12 noon ET)

In perhaps the most lopsided matchup of the week in the Austrian Football League, the 2-0 Vienna Vikings host the 0-2 Salzburg Ducks.

The Vikings have opened the season with two wins after beating the Znojmo Knights 43-14 and then downing the Swarco Raiders in an offensive bonanza, 70-63. The Ducks, on the other hand, were beaten by the Danube Dragons 31-21 and the Prague Black Panthers, 17-7.

Like the Raiders, the Vikings’ second team competes in the AFL while the first unit plays in the ELF. Still, though, this team has been fantastic to start the year. They have been led by the trio of Austrian quarterback Nico Hrouda (586 yards, 6 touchdowns, 1 interception), receiver Fabian Eder (278 yards, 3 touchdowns), and American running back Devontae Jordan, who has had a ridiculous start to the season, racking up 416 yards rushing and eight touchdowns in the two games. For perspective, the second-place players, Benjamin Brauer of the Mödling Rangers and Isiah Weed from the Vienna Vikings, have 218 yards and two touchdowns, respectively.

The Ducks, led by American quarterback Kris Denton (327 yards passing and 2 TDs) have yet to find their first win in their first season in the top division, but they have kept their last two games close. Andreas Dreschler is the team’s leading receiver with eight receptions for 124 yards.
