Week 6 of the BUCS Premier division will see the SGS PRiDE (2-1) play host to the Birmingham Lions (1-2) in Bristol.

The last time the two teams faced came last season when SGS dealt with Birmingham with ease, shutting the Lions out 47-0.

The PRiDE kicked their season off with two dominant victories against the Cardiff Cobras and Portsmouth Destroyers, putting up scorelines of 43-6 and 48-0 respectively.

The most recent outing for the Filton-based academy side saw a turn of the tables, however, as the star-studded UWE Bullets handled the PRiDE 60-0 in their season opener.

The Lions’ have began their season with a rough start, losing to the newly-promoted Portsmouth Destroyers and narrowly beating the Cardiff Cobras before facing the UWE Bullets. UWE made lightwork of Birmingham, putting 89 points on the away side.

Birmingham will look for an away upset as the PRiDE look to re-establish themselves as one of the top teams in the league after a disappointing outing in the Battle of Bristol.
