The Eagles have been the surprise of the season, building on their success from last year when they made a deep run in the CEFL tournament. After stunning the Stockholm Mean Machines beating them 40-21 and getting by the heavily favored Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns 22-16, they reached the semifinals before falling 17-7 to the Calanda Broncos. This season, they’ve continued their winning ways in the PFL, overpowering opponents with a staggering 193-44 points differential. With quarterback Vidal Woodruff at the helm and experienced tailback Meril Zéro in the backfield, the Eagles are poised to make a strong push in the tournament.

Bristol Aztecs: Seeking Redemption
The Aztecs are in their second CEFL tournament. Last year they defeated the Amsterdam Crusaders 46-7 in the opening round only to succumb 35-0 to Sweden’s Carlstad Crusaders. This year, they opened by shutting out the Belfast Trojans 31-0, and now they are getting ready to face a formidable opponent in Warsaw. Currently sitting atop the BAFA Premiere South division, the Aztecs have also shown their strength in the national league with an 80-20 point difference in their two games. Quarterback Ethan Gretzinger, who threw three touchdown passes in the first round, will lead the offense, while running back Josh Breece adds depth to their ground game.
