LIVESTREAM Denmark: Copenhagen Towers @ Aarhus Tigers, Sept. 12, 14:00 CET (08:00 ET)

This Saturday in Denmark all eyes are on the Copenhagen Towers as they visit Aarhus Tigers in the final regular season game of the shortened Danish National League fall season.

The Copenhagen Towers come into this game with a lot of momentum as they enter this matchup with a perfect 3-0 record. On the other side Aarhus will be looking for their first win of the season in this regular season finale. They hope to get it done in front of their home fans.

The Tigers last played on August the 29th when they suffered an embarrassing 56-0 loss to the Sollerod Gold Diggers. Aarhus is a young team that is looking to develop their home grown talent in this shortened season. Look for head coach Jonn Mathews to run the ball more behind offensive lineman Mads Højen this week to help out his young quarterbacks Alexander Schwartz and Christoffer Carstens. Both quarterbacks are young Danish talents with bright futures but have struggled to put up points so far this season. Defensively, look for the Tigers to be aggressive and stack the box this week against a Towers team that likes to run the ball.

The Copenhagen Towers on the other hand had their best game offensive game of the season last week against the Aalborg 89ers. The Towers put up 64 points and scored on 7 of their 8 drives. Copenhagen’s offensive line dominated, opening holes for the running backs duo of Anton Leonard Witmeur and Michel Shinduo Charter. Both Witmeur and Shinduo ran the ball efficiently moving the chains with ease. Quarterback Calvin Stitt did an excellent job orchestrating the offense by getting the ball to his playmakers and finishing drives with touchdowns. One of his playmakers was receiver MJ Williams. Williams gave his thoughts on the offensive surge last week.

“We knew we were very talented on offense at every position and it was just a matter of time before we clicked. We haven’t reached our peak yet and there are still things we can improve on. I also credit our Defense for our success. We go up against the D every week in practice and they give us a great look.”

This game will be a good test to see how the Towers can use the momentum of their last three victories and carry that into Aarhus and into the postseason. For the opposing Tigers, this is there last chance to play some football this season and they have an opportunity to do it at home and get their first win of the season.
