The Dresden Monarchs, the highest scoring team in Germany, head to Berlin Sunday to take on the Berlin Adler in German Football League play.
The Monarchs with a 4-2-1 record are scoring at a torrid pace, averaging 49 points a game while rolling up 483 yards per contest. However, Berlin’s ground game could be a factor as the Adler running backs have rushed for 1,241 yards and 15 touchdowns so far, second in the German league. Running back Devon Francois accounts for almost half of that with 492 yards rushing so far and five touchdowns.
Dresden running back Joseph Bergeron has rolled up 618 yards rushing while scoring 12 touchdowns giving the Monarchs a powerful running game to compliment their potent passing offense.
