The Prague Lions (1-5) return from their bye week looking to build on the first win in franchise history as they host the Paris Musketeers (3-3) in an important European Football Alliance matchup, with the visitors hoping to bounce back after last week’s loss to Frankfurt.
The two teams met earlier this season in France, where the Musketeers claimed a 30-9 victory. Now the scene shifts to Prague, where the Lions will try to show how much they have improved since that Week 2 meeting.
Building confidence
The bye week came at a good time for the Lions, who entered the break with momentum after earning their first-ever EFA victory. That milestone gave the club a confidence boost heading into the second half of the season, and another strong performance against one of the league’s playoff contenders would be another significant step forward.
Quarterback Jaylon Henderson has provided stability to the offense, completing 61.3 percent of his passes for 1,135 yards with eight touchdown passes and four interceptions. He has also been one of the league’s top dual-threat quarterbacks, rushing for 308 yards and three touchdowns.
Henderson’s favorite target has been William Patterson, who ranks second in the EFA with 46 receptions for 617 yards and four touchdowns.

Looking to respond
The Musketeers head to Prague determined to get back on track after falling to Frankfurt Galaxy. A win would complete a season sweep of the Lions while helping Paris strengthen its position in the playoff race.
Quarterback Zach Edwards has thrown for 1,286 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while adding one of the league’s most productive passing attacks. Jason Bofunda has given the offense balance on the ground with 305 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Hugo Tekedam has been Edwards’ top receiving threat, catching 33 passes for 447 yards and six touchdowns.
Another measuring stick
Both teams have plenty to play for on Saturday. The Lions want to prove their breakthrough victory was the start of something bigger and show they can compete with the EFA’s established teams.
The Musketeers, meanwhile, are looking to put last week’s setback behind them and repeat the formula that produced a convincing victory in the first meeting. This time, however, the Lions will have home-field advantage and another opportunity to reach a new milestone in front of their fans in Prague.
