The 3-8 Wasa Royals will visit Porvoo, Finland to face the 4-7 Porvoo Butchers in the final regular season game for both teams in Finland’s Maple League.

The two teams met in the opening game of the season with the Royals coming out on top, 33-12.

Porvoon is coming off a 42-21 loss to the Kuopio Steelers while the Royals dropped a 49-41 decision to the Helsinki Roosters.

Butchers quarterback Hans Fortune has thrown for 2,547 yards (231.5 yds/game) and 26 touchdowns, good for fourth overall in the league. Running back Dayton Winn is the fourth leading rusher in the country with 1,141 yards and 14 touchdowns in 11 games, and the fifth leading receiver having caught 66 passes for 819 yards and 10 touchdowns. In fact, he leads the league in all purpose yardage with 2,736, or an average of 248.7 yards a game. In other words, opposing teams have to take him into account at all times. Mikko Seppanen has 63 receptions for 641yards. The leading tackler for the Butchers is linebacker Kenneth Bradley who is third in the Maple League with 91.5 tackles.

Royals quarterback Diondre Borel has thrown for 2,162 yards and 26 touchdowns in the 11 games, and has rushed for 497 and four more touchdowns. French receiver Aymeric Nicault has been his favorite target by far hauling in 43 passes for 731 yards and nine touchdowns. However, in the last five games, newly signed WR Alpha Jalloh who starred for new Swedish champions the Stockholm Mean Machines in their championship run, has caught 22 passes for 592 yards and eight touchdowns.
