The German Football League heads to the KRAMSKI Arena on Saturday as the Pforzheim Wilddogs (4-1) host the Allgäu Comets (1-3) in a matchup featuring one of the GFL South’s hottest teams against a Comets squad coming off its first win of the season.
The game also marks a notable reunion between two teams that met in Pforzheim’s historic first GFL season in 2025. While the Wilddogs have won every meeting since joining the top flight, both teams enter this contest with plenty still to prove.
Wilddogs chasing the top
The Pforzheim Wilddogs have quickly established themselves as one of the strongest teams in the GFL South.
At 4-1, they sit just behind the unbeaten Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and cannot afford to lose ground in the race for first place. The Wilddogs enter the game after a convincing 49-14 victory over the Saarland Hurricanes, continuing a stretch of impressive performances that has also included a win over the ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg.

Quarterback Drequan Harris remains the centerpiece of the offense, while Pforzheim’s defense has emerged as one of the league’s toughest units. Defenders such as Nick Olivier, Martin Körber, and Konstantin Katz will have important roles against an Allgäu offense that likes to attack through the air.
Comets building momentum
The Allgäu Comets finally broke through last week with a dramatic victory over the Straubing Spiders, giving the team a much-needed confidence boost.
