LIVESTREAM Germany PPV: Potsdam Royals @ Paderborn Dolphins, Aug. 6, 15:00 CET (3 pm, 9 am EDT)

Sunday’s German Football League action will feature a GFL North matchup between the 6-1 Potsdam Royals and the 3-4 Paderborn Dolphins, as the Royals travel to Paderborn.

Potsdam have been out of action since before the midseason break; their last outing saw a shootout 40-33 win over the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions and was a true showcase of ex-Boise State QB Jaylon Henderson’s skills as he tallied up four touchdowns and five two-point conversions.

Henderson has been lights-out all season, finding himself top five in all passing stats while also being a top 10 rusher, leading the league in rushing touchdowns alongside Lions RB D’wayne Obi. Royals’ RB Gennadiy Adams joins Henderson in the top 10 in terms of yardage, picking up 450 yards and five rushing touchdowns, while Simon Fons leads the team in receiving, bringing in 32 catches for 677 and eight scores.

Paderborn are coming off the back of a blowout loss to the Dresden Monarchs last week, seeing them put just six points on the board in comparison to the Monarch’s 35.

The Dolphins have struggled thus far, barring one impressive win over the Berlin Rebels before the midseason break. Quarterback Niklas Gorny has had a quiet season, passing for just over 1,100 yards with just eight touchdowns, but managing to turn the ball over just three times. Their backfield has been headlined by Andre Flakes, who is averaging just north of 100 all-purpose yards per game.

The Dolphins will look for another upset as they host the current second seed in the GFL North, who will be aiming to re-establish themselves as a championship contender after a loss to Dresden earlier this season.
