LIVESTREAM Germany: Ravensburg Razorbacks @ Straubing Spiders, July 23, 15:00 CET, (3 pm, 09:00 am ET)

The German Football League has a full slate of games this weekend for the first time since July 3 and one key matchup in the GFL South is between the Straubing Spiders (4-1) and the Ravensburg Razorbacks (1-1-4). Both teams are coming off games that greatly helped their chances for the playoffs.

The third place Spiders earned a huge 64-42 victory over the Saarland Hurricanes which gave them their fourth win of the season. If they get their fifth win this weekend, it would make the Spiders a near lock for the playoffs in their first season in the top league.

The Razorbacks meanwhile were able to shock the league and play the unbeaten Munich Cowboys to a 24-24 tie after being down 24-3 in the first half. This tie came after four straight blowout losses for Ravensburg who were expected to get blown out again. If they manage to do the unthinkable again and perhaps even win, they will begin to be viewed as the favorite for fourth place.

These two teams have had a history in the GFL2, with the Spiders winning three of their past five matchups in the last five years. They had their first meeting as teams in the GFL back on June 19, where Straubing won on the road, 35-18.
