LIVESTREAM Hungary: Budapest Wolves @ Fehérvár Enthroners, June 5, 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET)

The first round of the regular season in the Hungarian Football League winds up this weekend with a battle between two title contenders, the Fehérvár Enthroners and the Budapest Wolves,  at First Field in Fehérvár, Hungary.

The Győr Sharks win over the Budapest Cowbells last week, decided which three teams advance to the next round of the season. However, the ranking is still unsure. The Budapest Wolves can still finish first if they defeat the Enthroners by more than 15 points at today. That would drop the defending champion Enthroners down to the third place. Although the Wolves lost an important puzzle piece with David Casarrubias’(DE) season-ending injury, they signed a new import in defensive back Jamaal Lane. Although the defense got stronger with this addition, the offense has to minimize the giveaways (Márk Bencsics: 4 interceptions in two games), to reach the score the team needs to step up to first place.

Enthroners‘ running back Joe Bergeron’s season also came to an end after suffering a season ending knee injury. Nevertheless, the Enthroners still have great options at running back position, such as Hungarian National Team player, Dávid Novakov. However, with Bergeron dropping out, the defending champion added another import player by calling back their former offensive lineman, Tim McGee. Although the Enthroners are in great form, since they moved up to the HFL, they have never beaten the Budapest Wolves. This is a bad streak for the title holders to end on Saturday.
