The Milano Seamen (2-0) who are looking every bit the defending champions that they are, head to Ancona and the Stadio della Palla Ovale to take on the Ancona Dolphins (0-2) in the third weekend of play in Italy’s Div. I.
Milano, the defending Italian champions opened the season with a 37-0 shut out of the Bergamo Lions and followed that up with a 41-6 drubbing of the newly-promoted Bologna Warriors. Starting quarterback Luke Zahradka has been efficient throwing for 432 yards and nine touchdowns in the two games. Stefano de Tunisi has 172 yards receiving in two games and two touchdowns while Xavier Mitchell has six receptions for 107 yards and four touchdowns. The Dolphins will need to get their offense untracked in this game. So far in two games they have been held to a total of 22 points. Quarterback Nelson Hughes was held to 66 yards passing last week against the Lazio Ducks and the Dolphins had a total of 121 yards in offense. They are averaging 183 yards in total offense, which will not be enough against the Seamen. Dylan Albertson is the leading receiver with leading target with 13 receptions for 144 yards and three touchdowns. However, the Ancona running attack is anemic totaling 44 yards in two games.
