LIVESTREAM: NFL Academy (UK) vs IMG Academy (Florida), October 10th, 13:30 CET, (1:30 PM, 8:30 AM ET)

The NFL Academy of the UK will host a historic football game as they take on the US high school powerhouse IMG Academy from Bradenton, Florida today. This marks the first time the NFL Academy will play a US high school team in its brief history.

The UK’s premiere youth football program has been dominant on a Europe scale defeating both the Dusseldorf Panthers of Germany, RIG Academy of Sweden handidly. The team features several players with D1 scholarship offers including 4- star offensive lineman Daniel Akinkunmi, recent Jackson State commit Kofi Taylor Barrocks, and Temple commit Peter Clarke. Defensively look for linebacker Isaak Ubaka and Jadiel Wahab to be swarming to the ball.

At quarterback, Sam Fenton should take the majority of the snaps behind center. The 6’6 pocket passer has shown off a big arm before and will look to command the NFL Academy offense against a formidable IMG defense.

The visiting team IMG Varisty White is one of several high school teams hosted at IMG’s massive sports and academic campus. IMG’s White team competes in the SSIA Conference within Florida and periodically competes out of state as well. This team has been ranked as a top 50 team in Florida on MaxPreps as well.

IMG has produced 24 NFL players, with 16 currently playing on Sundays. This season IMG boasts over a dozen players with division scholarships including five star pass rusher Samuel M’pemba and the nation’s number one offensive line prospect Fancis Maigoa. Ohio State commit Carnell Tate is currently the team best offensive weapon.

This season head coach Billy Miller and IMG are 4-1 having won 45-0 last Friday. It remains to be seen how he handles his large roster for this international game,  as the team is scheduled to play American Collegiate Academy on Friday night.
