LIVESTREAM Poland: Silesia Rebels @ Katy Wroclawskie Jaguars, May 7, 14:00 CET (2 pm, 8 am EDT)

The Katy Wroclawskie Jaguars (1-2) will play host to the Silesia Rebels (2-1) in an important South Division matchup in the Polish Football League, Sunday, May 7.

The Jaguars are coming off a 14-10 win over the Tychy Falcons after dropping their first two games of the season, 34-21 to the Krakow Kings and 10-7 to the Warsaw Eagles. Silesia has won two in a row, 40-38 over Krakow and 30-20 over the Olsztyn Lakers after dropping their first game of the season 36-28 to the Tychy Falcons.

Jaguars quarterback Matthew Vitale and the entire offense has struggled scoring just 42 points in the three games. Look for the Jaguars to insert his Polish counterpart, Witold Gajewski, who stepped in and scored in the win over Tychy. Defensively, the Jaguars are giving up 21 points a game. They will face a test today though.

For the Rebels, quarterback David James (Western Connecticut State Colonials – NCAA DIII) is back for his second season and so far, he has the offense humming averaging 33 points a contest. His favorites targets are receivers Leonard Sosoclis, Robert Szmielak and Dawid Kaczor. Running back Bartosz Słomka is also a key. Linebacker Drequan Reed anchors a defense which has surrendered 32 points a game. So the Rebels have added reinforcements with the signing defensive linemen Arek Cieślok and Bartosz Stawowy. Cieślok played for the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions in 2022.

This could be an interesting matchup with the Jaguars defense being tested by the high scoring Rebels offense.
