The Granada Lions, mired in last place with an 0-5 record in the Spanish League of American Football, head to Murcia, in the south of Spain to face the 3-2 Murcia Cobras.
These two teams faced each other earlier in the season with the Cobras handing Granada a 48-0 drubbing.
Murcia is coming off a momentum-building, thrilling 39-34 victory over the Las Rozas Black Demons two weeks ago, which avenged a 41-6 loss to the Black Demons in the opening weekend of play. In between, the Cobras, 2018 finalists in the Spain, have alternated between outright domination with lopsided wins over Granada and the Fuengirola Potros 41-0, and embarrassment. They were overwhelmed by the Badalona Dracs 49-26 in February.
However, Cobras quarterback Adam Salvadori seems to be finding his rhythm and with sure-handed wide receiver Cory Holmes to throw to the offense is clicking.
Granada has yet to score a point in 2019 and in fact have gone from bad to worse. There were pummeled 52-0 by the lowly Fuengirola Potros two weeks ago for their fifth straight loss. It was the second time the Potros had beaten them as Fuengirola blanked them 13-0 to open the season. In between those two losses, they were shut out by the Cobras 48-0, Black Demons 49-0 and Osos Rivas 61-0.
This will be another long evening for the Lions unless they have made some changes.
