The 1-2 Mallorca Voltors head to Fuengirola, Spain to face the 1-2 Fuengirola Potros in a crucial matchup for both clubs in the fourth weekend of play in the Spanish American Football League.
The game, which has an early, 10 AM start, is vital for both teams. Another loss would put either team in dangerous territory of having to struggle to make the playoffs.
The Potros, new to the top league in Spain this year, opened the season by blanking the Granada Lions 13-0. However, they proceeded to lose badly in their next two games. They were pummeled 64-8 by the Las Rozas Black Demons and then shut out 41-0 by the Murcia Cobras.
The Voltors also started the year with a win, beating the Zaragoza Hurrianes 14-7, but then lost a tough one, 14-13 to the Valencia Firebats, and were overwhelmed by the Badalona Dracs, 48-7.
In other words, these are two of the lowest scoring teams in the 12 team Spanish league.
The team that can kick its offense into gear today, will take this one.
