Valencia quarterback Thomas Murphy was instrumental in the last minute win over Barbera throwing three touchdown passes giving him five on the season so far. Badalona quarterback Mike Box has had a spectacular start to the season with eight touchdown passes.

The Firebats defense will have to find a way to slow down Badalona head coach Oscar Calatayud’s potent offense. With running backs Robbie Jackson and Drew Clausen, and Box finding receivers like Joan Carles Bartra and Javier Fernandez, Valencia’s defense will have its hands full.

Neverthless. the Firebats have a dangerous offense themselves. Murphy has excellent targets like Josh Helmkamp and Alejandro Silvestre. At running back Hector Pertegaz is a key.
