New-look Royal Crowns present challenge
The Tyresö Royal Crowns look much different than the team Carlstad defeated in last year’s title game.
Quarterback Trevor Vasey has taken over the offense, while the addition of new receivers and the return of Kevin Börzei have helped create a more explosive attack. Former Crusaders player Alpha Jalloh also adds familiarity and experience to the offense.
Defensively, Malcom Engström continues to be one of the most disruptive players in the league and remains a player the Crusaders must account for on every snap.
Crusaders add reinforcements
The Carlstad Crusaders have also strengthened their roster as the playoffs approach.
Marco Gudding returned to the defensive line last week, while Josef Nguzo joins the secondary and Valerian Harasse steps into the linebacker unit. The return of Simon Turzik and Max Hoke from the United States also provides additional depth.
On paper, this matchup features two of the league’s most productive offenses. The Crusaders lead the Superserien in scoring, while Tyresö ranks among the league’s most dangerous offenses.
