LIVESTREAM: Team USA Takes On Austria in 2016 IFAF Under-19 World Championship

The defending champions, Team USA will face Austria as both teams make their 2016 IFAF Under-19 World Championship debuts in Harbin, China June 30.

The United States are the defending U19 champions beating Canada in 2016 40-17 in the final. Austria finished fourth in that tournament after losing a thriller to Team Mexico 31-30 in the bronze medal game.

Team USA won the inaugural tournament in 2009 again beating Canada in the final while they lost in 2012 to Canada 23-17.

Austria also finished fourth in 2012.

Team USA’s story is fascinating. The roster has players representing 20 different states.

Meanwhile, Team Austria’s 45 man roster contains players from 10 different clubs. Highest representation is from the Vienna Vikings who have 20 players while nine Swarco Raiders players have made the team.
