The Kiev Patriots (6-1-1) and Lviv Lions (6-1) square off Sunday, October 28 to decide the Ukrainian American football championship at SKA Stadium in Lviv, Ukraine.
These two teams faced each other twice during the regular season with Lviv winning the first game 15-14 and Kiev gaining revenge in the second with a 38-10 win. The only other time they have played was in 2016 when the Patriots prevailed 16-6.
The Lions finished the year as the second best offensive team in the league averaging 36 points a game while their defense was the stingiest giving up only 10 points a contest. Kiev scored an average of 27 points a game while allowing 12.
Top scorers for the Patriots are Ivan Stupytsky (8 TDs), Boone Darrien (5) and Dmytro Zakharash (4). For Lviv, Severyn Fedyna had 12 touchdowns on the year followed by Oleg Yablonskiy and Andriy Svitlak with three apiece.
