Madrid Bravos quarterback Reid Sinnett named 2025 ELF MVP

Madrid Bravos quarterback Reid Sinnett capped his debut European League of Football season by earning the 2025 MVP award, leading the expansion franchise to an 8-4 record and a Wildcard Round appearance.
Historic debut season earns Sinnett top honor
Sinnett, a former NFL quarterback, dominated in 12 regular-season games, throwing for 3,953 yards, 50 touchdowns, and just four interceptions while completing 72.98% of his passes. His efficiency powered the Bravos’ second-ranked offense, though their playoff run ended with a loss to eventual champion the Stuttgart Surge.

Gratitude for teammates, coaches shapes MVP speech
“This is the most fun I’ve ever had playing football,” Sinnett said during his acceptance speech, crediting his offensive line—including Bravos tackle Brendan Oswin, the 2025 Offensive Lineman of the Year—for his success. “The guys up front gave me an opportunity. [Head coach] Andrew [Weidinger] embraced my strengths and this team’s identity.”
Cruickshank’s brilliance amplifies Sinnett’s impact
Sinnett highlighted receiver Aron Cruickshank’s role in his MVP campaign: “Watching him turn nothing into something is impressive. He’s just as deserving.” Cruickshank’s playmaking complemented Sinnett’s precision, anchoring the Bravos’ explosive aerial attack.
Unconventional path to ELF stardom
The 28-year-old reflected on his journey from overlooked high school prospect to ELF MVP: “This feels like a culmination of years of hard work.” He advised young players to “prepare relentlessly” and cited Tom Brady’s advice during their time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: “When you get an opportunity, don’t let them take you off the field.”
Future uncertain, but legacy secured
While Sinnett hasn’t confirmed his 2026 plans, he emphasized his bond with the Bravos: “I couldn’t imagine playing for another organization.” His record-setting season redefined quarterback excellence in the ELF, leaving a blueprint for future stars.
