Nordic Storm outgun Berlin Thunder in ELF shootout to stay unbeaten

The Nordic Storm (8-0) maintained their perfect European League of Football season with a 53-35 road victory over the Berlin Thunder (3-6) this past weekend, behind quarterback Jadrian Clark’s historic 519-yard, seven-touchdown performance in a game featuring 888 combined passing yards.

High-octane first half ends deadlocked
Clark and Berlin’s Jakeb Sullivan traded blows in a first-half aerial duel, combining for 40 completions and 513 yards. Sullivan struck first with a 5-yard touchdown to Niklas Schumm, but Clark answered with scoring strikes to Adria Botella (1 yard) and Simon Foens (29 yards). The Thunder closed the half at 20-20 after Sullivan’s 4-yard touchdown to Nicolai Schumann with six seconds remaining.

Clark’s second-half masterclass seals victory
The Storm quarterback dominated after halftime, orchestrating five consecutive scoring drives. A 19-yard touchdown to Foens and a 43-yard fumble return by Clifton Duck off Sullivan’s botched lateral extended the lead to 33-23 late in the third. Clark then delivered dagger throws of 30 and 6 yards to Foens and Botella in the fourth, finishing with completions to eight receivers.

Sullivan’s turnovers prove costly
Despite 382 passing yards and five touchdowns, Berlin’s Sullivan committed three critical errors: two interceptions and a fourth-quarter fumble returned for a touchdown. His top targets, Schumm (7 catches, 114 yards, 2 TDs) and Tyler Foster (9 receptions, 101 yards), kept pace with Nordic’s Brendan Beaulieu (5 catches, 134 yards, 1 TD) but couldn’t offset the miscues.

Defensive lapses overshadow bright spots
Berlin’s secondary allowed 17.3 yards per completion, failing to contain Clark’s deep-ball precision. The Storm defense compensated for 469 total yards allowed with three takeaways, including Duck’s game-swinging fumble return.

Standings implications
The Nordic Storm clinched the ELF North Division title with the win, while Berlin dropped to third. Clark’s 519 yards set a new ELF single-game record, surpassing his own 502-yard mark from Week 3.
