Nordic Storm re-sign All American safety Luke Glenna for 2026 EFA season
The Nordic Storm have made a significant move in shaping their roster for the upcoming 2026 European Football Alliance season by re-signing safety Luke Glenna. After a standout performance in 2025, Glenna’s contract extension ensures that he will continue to be a vital part of the team’s defense moving forward.
Glenna: A cornerstone of Storm’s defense
Luke Glenna quickly became a key player for the Storm during their inaugural season. His impressive stats included 67 tackles, five interceptions, and 11 pass breakups, contributing greatly to the team’s defensive stability. Prior to joining the Storm, Glenna was a nominee for Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 while playing for the Barcelona Dragons, where he recorded 137 tackles and four interceptions, earning first-team All-Star honors.
In 2024, Glenna had an equally impressive season with the Madrid Bravos, recording 76 tackles and securing five interceptions, helping the Bravos reach the playoffs in their first season.
All-American NCAA career
Before his success in the ELF, the 5-11, 190 pound defender had a standout collegiate career at St. Thomas University, where he earned All-American honors and was named conference Defensive Player of the Year. Glenna led his team in tackles in both 2021 and 2022, finishing his college career with 13 interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. His senior season also saw him recognized as the FCS Defensive Player of the Year, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier safety.
With Glenna back in the fold, the Nordic Storm are poised for a strong season ahead.
