Nordic Storm routs Paris Musketeers 45-6, sets up EFA Championship showdown with Munich

The Nordic Storm punched their ticket to the European Football Alliance Championship Game in emphatic fashion Sunday, scoring 38 unanswered points to blow past the Paris Musketeers 45-6 in the BIG4 semifinal.

Paris lands the first punch

The Musketeers came out firing, with Zach Edwards moving the offense through Hugo Tekedam and Torin Justice before Dean Faithfull drilled a 55-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.

The Storm answered immediately. Glen Toonga pounded away on the ground while Jadrian Clark moved Nordic through the air, eventually finding Jakob Niemann Green for a 20-yard touchdown and a 7-3 lead.

Jamalcolm Liggins gave Paris another opening when he picked off Clark and returned it 23 yards. The Musketeers couldn’t reach the end zone, settling for Faithfull’s 35-yard field goal to pull within 7-6.

They wouldn’t score again.

Storm starts rolling

Clark marched the Storm 80 yards and capped the drive by hitting Roberto Miranda for a six-yard touchdown on fourth down.

Toonga then muscled his way into the end zone from seven yards out before Clark delivered the backbreaker just before halftime, going deep to Brendan Beaulieu for a 51-yard touchdown and a 28-6 advantage.

What had started as a tight semifinal had suddenly turned into a commanding Nordic lead.

Clark keeps pouring it on

The Storm didn’t let up after the break.

Alvin Gustafsson drilled a 34-yard field goal before Clark found Morgan Boney from a yard out to push the margin to 38-6.

The Nordic defense then handed the offense another opportunity when Jumilson Moreira Ferreira intercepted Edwards. Clark needed exactly one play to make Paris pay, launching a 44-yard touchdown strike to Edvin Almeida for the final points.

Clark finished with five touchdown passes to five different receivers — Niemann Green, Miranda, Beaulieu, Boney and Almeida — as the Storm showcased the depth that has made their offense so difficult to contain.

Defense finishes the job

The Musketeers kept fighting, with Tekedam and Justice providing targets for Edwards, but Nordic repeatedly shut the door.

Maceo Beard-Aigret and Moreira Ferreira both intercepted Edwards, and even when Paris reached the Storm 10-yard line in the fourth quarter, a fourth-down pass to Tekedam fell incomplete.

Championship game awaits

The Storm will now head to Innsbruck for the EFA Championship Game on August 29 after turning what was a one-point game into a 39-point rout.

For Paris, the loss also marked the end of an era. Edwards announced his retirement afterward, closing his 2026 season with 2,147 passing yards and 18 touchdowns.

The Musketeers had pushed Nordic early, but once the Storm found their rhythm, they never gave Paris a chance to get back into it. Five Clark touchdown passes, a punishing ground game and a defense that kept creating opportunities turned the semifinal into a runaway.

After a 9-1 regular season and a dominant performance in their first playoff game, the Storm are now one victory away from becoming the first champions in European Football Alliance history.
