ELF: Nordic Storm shut out the Berlin Thunder in historic home debut to stay unbeaten
The Nordic Storm (3-0) extended their flawless start to the 2025 European League of Football season with a commanding 35-0 victory over the Berlin Thunder (1-2) at Gladsaxe Stadion, Gladsaxe, Denmark, marking their first home game with a complete team effort across all phases.
All-phase dominance sets tone
From kickoff, the Storm dictated play, stifling the Thunder’s offense and capitalizing on special teams. A pivotal second-quarter blocked field goal by the Storm’s defense was returned 70 yards by Luke Glenna for a touchdown, shifting momentum decisively. Berlin’s strategy to control possession via ground-heavy drives faltered as injuries sidelined QB Jakeb Sullivan (137 passing yards) and WR Bryce Goggin before halftime. Backup QB Ferras El-Hendi managed just 10 passing yards, compounding the Thunder’s woes.

Clark, Beaulieu ignite offensive surge
MVP frontrunner Jadrian Clark (296 yards, 3 TDs) showcased precision, connecting with A-import Brendan Beaulieu (8 receptions, 129 yards, 1 TD) for explosive gains. Homegrown WRs Jonathan Steinhauer Nielsen and Adria Botella added touchdown receptions, while RB Anton Witmeur anchored the ground game with 49 rushing yards. The Storm’s 400 total yards dwarfed Berlin’s 147, with Clark’s offense converting 75% of the team’s red-zone opportunities.
Defense suffocates Thunder attack
The Storm’s defense logged two sacks and held Berlin to 2.8 yards per play, limiting RB carries to 1.7 yards per attempt. Safety Luke Glenna (3 tackles, 1 blocked kick, 1 TD) and the rest of the secondary neutralized the Thunder’s aerial threats, restricting top WR Niklas Schumm to 56 yards on six catches. Linebackers Hugo Dyrendahl and Ludwig Myren led all tacklers with 7 apiece.
