Paris and Stuttgart gear up for epic rematch
This weekend features another exciting slate of games across the ELF, however Sunday’s battle between Stuttgart and Paris has to be one of the most anticipated of the week.
Championship preview?
The Surge have knocked on the door of the ELF championship the past two seasons, making the title game in 2023, and the semi-final in 2024, this year with the Championship Game being held in Stuttgart the team looks to hoist the trophy in September in front of a home crowd.
For Paris, Jack Del Rio’s squad is one of the most talented in the league. However with a 5-3 record they are also one of the hardest teams to count on week in and week out. The Musketeers have all the tools to make a run at the title and could find themselves in Stuttgart in September if they get hot.
Rematch of Week 2
These two teams already met in France in week 2. The game was an anomaly for both teams as it ended 6-0 to the Musketeers, giving Jack Del Rio his first signature win in Musketeers blue. This time around the Paris defense hopes to get the better of the Surge again and pull off the sweep on the road.
Two great quarterbacks
These two quarterbacks know each other well as they faced off against each other in the German Football league championship game in 2022. Veteran Reilly Hennessey looks to continue his hot streak after a great game against Frankfurt last week. Henderson also had a strong game against Vienna despite the loss torching the Vikings defense as both a runner and a passer.
Playoff consequences?
This is a huge game for both teams as the winner could put themselves in a position to be the fourth seed and have a wild card playoff game at home. The loser of this match up likely find themsleves on the road for the post-season or out of it entirely.
