The Paris Musketeers have doubled down on leadership continuity, announcing that General Manager John Booker will add offensive coordinator duties to his responsibilities for the 2026 season.
A well-traveled football mind
The 39-year-old Californian brings a diverse coaching background to the role, having most recently served as co-offensive coordinator for the Musketeers after joining the organization in 2023. Booker’s journey to Paris includes head coaching positions with the Leipzig Kings before their collapse and the Wasa Royals in Finland’s Maple League, where he led the team to immediate success. His international resume also features a trip to the Polish Football League title game with the Bialystok Lowlanders.
From player to playcaller
Booker’s football credentials trace back to his playing days as an All-Conference offensive lineman at San Jose State (NCAA DI, FBS), which led to brief NFL exposure with the San Francisco 49ers and a four-year arena football career that yielded two championships. His transition to coaching began overseas with stops in Turkey, Slovakia, and Brazil before taking his first head coaching role with the Trnava Bulldogs in Slovakia—a team he had previously played for.
Building a consistent identity
By combining the general manager and offensive coordinator roles, the Musketeers are betting on Booker’s ability to create organizational stability and a cohesive football identity. His track record of quickly turning programs into winners—including delivering the first winning season in Trnava Bulldogs history and winning back-to-back championships with Australia’s Brisbane Rhinos—suggests he knows how to build successful offenses across different leagues and continents.
This expanded role positions Booker as the architect of both the roster and the offensive system, giving him complete oversight of the Musketeers’ football operations as they look to improve in the competitive European football landscape.
