As most leagues wind down throughout Europe, playoff positioning will be the highlight of the weekend on AFI.tv.

The German Football League features a full schedule with playoffs at stake in key matchups. Meanwhile, the Finnish Maple League and Danish Nationalligaen will both have games critical to the final standings.

Thursday, August 19

The second-place Helsinki Roosters (5-1) will host the Wasa Royals (1-6) as Finland’s Maple League heads into the final two weekends of the regular season. Kickoff is 16:30 CET (4:30 pm, 10:30 am ET).

In the biggest game of the weekend in the Finnish Maple League, the Porvoo Butchers (3-3) take on the Seinäjoki Crocodiles (3-3) in a battle for the third and fourth spots in the standings. Game time is Saturday, August 21 at 15:30 CET (3:30 pm, 09:30 am ET).

The Saarland Hurricanes (6-1) will host the Munich Cowboys (4-3) in a critical game for the visiting team. The Cowboys need a win to secure the fourth and final playoff spot in the GFL South. Game time is Saturday, August 21 at 17:00 CET (5 pm, 11:00 am ET).

In a rare Sunday game in Finland’s Maple League, the United Newland Crusaders (1-5) will host the undefeated Kuopio Steelers (7-0) on the second last weekend of regular season play in Finland. Game time is Sunday, August 22 at 14:30 CET (2:30 pm, 08:30 am ET).

The Allgäu Comets (4-2) will be at home to the winless Frankfurt Universe (0-6) Sunday, August 22 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).

In a crucial German Football League game for both teams, the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions (3-4) will play host to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (2-6). The two teams are battling for the fourth and final playoff spot in the GFL North. Kickoff is Sunday, August 22 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 ET).
