Prague Lions lock In elite playmaker Willie Patterson for 2026 season

The Prague Lions have secured a major offensive weapon for their 2026 campaign, announcing the re-signing of dynamic receiver and return specialist Willie Patterson, one of the most explosive playmakers in the European League of Football.

A proven ELF playmaker

Entering his fourth season in the ELF, Patterson brings both experience and elite production to the Lions. After beginning his career with a late-season stint with Rhein Fire in 2023, he became a standout for the expansion Madrid Bravos in 2024 before joining Prague last year. Throughout his 30 games in the league, Patterson has established himself as a consistent big-play threat, amassing 151 receptions for 2,129 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air while adding significant production on the ground and in the return game.

Versatile offensive weapon

What makes Patterson particularly dangerous is his multi-dimensional skill set. Last season with the Lions, he demonstrated his versatility by rushing for 548 yards and 6 touchdowns on just 58 carries, proving he can damage defenses in multiple ways. His ability to contribute as a receiver, runner, and return specialist makes him one of the most complete offensive weapons in European football. This versatility forces opposing defenses to account for him on every play, opening opportunities for his teammates.

Foundation for Prague’s success

Patterson’s return represents a significant piece of the Lions‘ plans for 2026. His experience with head coach Dave Warner, who previously worked with Patterson as offensive coordinator in Madrid, provides valuable continuity for the offense. Having nearly helped Prague reach the playoffs last season, Patterson now becomes a cornerstone of their efforts to take the next step toward championship contention. His game-changing ability and proven production make him essential to the Lions‘ ambitions of becoming a consistent playoff team in the competitive ELF landscape.
