The Amiens Spartiates of France’s division 2 league, have signed veteran running back Jared Bradley for the 2017 season.
Bradley, 6′, 216 lbs, a native of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, will be entering his fourth season in France. He had a three year career at the University of Delaware where he played with current Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. He played for the Nimes Centurions in 2016 setting French rushing records with 2,217 yards and 29 touchdowns on only 256 carries.
American Football International asked Jared his reasons for returning to France and signing with the Spartiates who finished with a 7-1 record in 2016.
American Football International: How did you come to sign with Amiens?
Jared Bradley: I signed with Amiens after talking with the head coach. he talked to me over the summer because he was following me last year when I played in Nîmes.
AFI: You’ve played in France for quite a few years now. Where have you played and why do you like France so much?

I have played in Aix en Provence my first year, Tours my second year, Nîmes my third year and now Amiens for this coming season. I really like France , it’s a great country. I enjoy the people and culture.
I have many friends and have a strong relationship in France all which make me want to be in France. However, if there is a chance to play in another country in the future I will see how it goes then.
AFI: What do you think you can bring to Spartiates in 2017?
Bradley: I know that I can bring leadership and a winning attitude to Amiens next year. I will work hard and push myself to bring what I have been able to do in the past to the previous teams to Amiens. I want to be a role model for the youth teams also.
AFI: What is your goal for 2017?
Bradley: I want to bring the Spartiates a championship.
