The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns improved to 9-0 by rolling past the Allgäu Comets (1-7) 56-6 in German Football League action, wrapping up the GFL South title with three regular-season games still to play after another dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
Fast start sets the tone
Despite missing several key players, including quarterback Lars Heidrich and running back Kelley Joiner, the Unicorns never skipped a beat.
After forcing an early punt, Schwäbisch Hall marched down the field and opened the scoring on a 10-yard touchdown run by Mathis Harang. Harang added another rushing touchdown later in the opening quarter before quarterback Julius Klenk connected with Rayjuon Pringle on a 48-yard touchdown pass to stretch the lead to 21-0.
The Comets battled throughout the first half but couldn’t crack the Unicorns defense. Klenk capped a 75-yard drive just before halftime with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Cem Kahveci, sending Schwäbisch Hall into the break with a commanding 28-0 advantage.

Offense keeps rolling
The Unicorns picked up where they left off after halftime.
Klenk threw his third touchdown pass of the afternoon, finding Joshua Lang from five yards out to make it 35-0 before the Comets finally got on the scoreboard early in the fourth quarter when Benedikt Schulz scored on a four-yard run.
Any thoughts of a comeback disappeared almost immediately.
On the second play of the ensuing drive, Klenk found Kahveci behind the defense for a 54-yard touchdown, restoring the momentum to the home side.
Championship secured
The Unicorns added two more highlights before the final whistle. Delfio Gourgel-DaCosta intercepted a pass deep in his own territory and raced 98 yards for a touchdown, bringing the home crowd to its feet, before Lang caught his second touchdown pass of the afternoon to complete the 56-6 victory.
Klenk finished with five touchdown passes while Harang supplied the early spark with two rushing scores as the Unicorns showcased the depth that has carried them through an unbeaten season.
The victory clinches the GFL South championship for Schwäbisch Hall, which will look to extend its perfect record on August 8 against the Pforzheim Wilddogs. The Comets, meanwhile, continue their fight to avoid relegation when they return home next weekend to face the Munich Cowboys.
