Serbia’s Kragujevac Wild Boars sign top NCAA QB, Dalton Oliver

The Kragujevac Wild Boars, in a hunt to defend their 2016 Serbian title, have signed quarterback Dalton Oliver for the remainder of the 2017 season.

Oliver, 6’4″, 205 lbs, from the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers (NCAA Div.II), arrives after the sudden departure of Ian McGinnis who had to return to the United States for personal reasons.

Rated as one of the top five quarterbacks in Division II football he ranked 5th in the nation in passing efficiency at 166.9, with only nine interceptions. and ranked in the top 15 in every quarterback statistic including passing efficiency, passing TDs, and passing yards.

With 3,510 passing yards and 35 TDs in 2014, Oliver set two Kentucky Wesleyan single-season records. In his senior year, 2015, he threw for 3,108 yards and 31 touchdowns with a 63.8 completion percentage.

Oliver is excited to be able to compete for two championships:

“The selling point for me in coming to finish this season was the opportunity to win 2 championships. I don’t know much about Serbian football or the club but after asking around I have come to the understanding that it is championship or bust. I have high expectations for this season including becoming a Serbian National Champion and also becoming the CEFL champions.”
