Super Bowl 2020: What time does Super Bowl LIV start around the world?

This Sunday, February 2, Super Bowl LIV kicks off when the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers square off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Football is exploding in popularity around the world and the audience for the game has definitely become international.

So where else will people be watching the game and when?

Well it seems everywhere from the Melbourne Public, South Wharf in Melbourne, Australia to Shenanigans in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to the Louisiana sports bar in Frankfurt, Germany, the Aldi Mitte Sportsbar in Marburg, Germany and Champions Sports Bar in Warsaw, Poland to Lagos, NIgeria to Salt Rock, South Africa to the Bojangles Bar in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to the El Dorado Royale in the Mayan Riviera. In fact, in a straw poll conducted by AFI, people told us they will be glued to screens in places around the world as varied as the kickoff times.

How about the Lady Hamilton Pub in Zurich, Switzerland? Or the Hard Rock Cafe in Prague, Czech Republic?  Or the Laurel Tokyo sports bar in Tokyo, Japan? Or O’Learys Irish pub in Stockholm, Sweden or Pub Wilson. Seinäjoki, Finland?

Or just your living room couch, or maybe your office computer?

So let’s see how many people will be interrupting their Monday morning workdays to watch the game or staying up until the wee hours of the morning.

If you’re in North America or even Hawaii, or even American Samoa, you’ll celebrate the game at a decent hour. Game starts as usual at 6:30 pm EST which is 5:30 CST, 4:30 MST, 3:30 PST, 2:30 p.m. in Alaska or 1:30 p.m. in Hawaii.

After that, it gets interesting. Let’s check out the times starting from one side of the international dateline to the other.
