Sweden: Stockholm Mean Machines sign Morehead State QB Mark Pappas

The Stockholm Mean Machines have announced that their quarterback for the 2022 season will be Mark Pappas from Morehead State (Division 1-AA FCS).

The 6’2″, 213-pound native of Avon Lake, (Cleveland) Ohio finished an outstanding four-year career with the Morehead State Eagles throwing for 7,346 yards and 61 touchdowns in 31 games, averaging 237 yards a game. In his senior year, he completed 279 of 489 passes for 3,446 yards and 28 touchdowns. He threw for a school record 481 yards and six touchdowns that year in a 45-38 win over Dayton and led Morehead State to a 7-4 record, the most overall wins by the school since 2015, and 6-2 in the Pioneer League. For that he was named First Team All-Conference for the second straight year.

The Mean Machines will be playing in the Swedish Superserien as well as in the new Scandinavian Cup tournament which kicks off April 30.
