Sweden’s Örebro Black Knights have added explosive offensive firepower in signing quarterback Raleigh Yeldell for the 2018 season.
Yeldell, a 6’1″, 180 lb 25 year-old native of Edgefield, South Carolina, spent the 2017 season with Finland’s Tampere Saints where he through for 1,599 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Yeldell played for four years at Newberry College (NCAA Div. II) where he was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy in his senior year while also winning Offensive Player of the Year in both the South Atlantic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference. He set school records with 3,087 passing yards, 3,418 yards of total offense, 260 completions, 370 attempts, and a Division II-leading 70.3 percent completion rate. He accounted for 33 total touchdowns this season and led the SAC in 11 statistical categories. (10-2 season) 2016 SAC Champions.
In his four years at Newberry, he played in 40 games, starting 20, throwing for 5,499 yards and 47 touchdowns while rushing for another 1,527 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Örebro reached the Swedish final in 2017 where they lost to the Carlstad Crusaders 24-0.
