Texas Longhorn LB Peter Jinkens joins Germany’s Marburg Mercenaries

The Marburg Mercenaries have added a huge boost to their defensive front seven with the signing of former Texas Longhorn linebacker Peter Jinkens.

The 6’1″, 235 lb Jinkens from Dallas, Texas played in 50 career games with the Longhorns with 22 starts. He recorded 180 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, four pressures, one INT and one forced fumble in his career In 2015 he was named first-team All-Big 12 selection. In his senior year, 2015, he finished with 75 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks but tore his ACL in a crucial game against Texas Tech, spoiling his NFL chances. At Skyline High School in Dallas, he was an All-America, All-state, All-area and All-district performer. ESPN named him a member of their top 150 national prospects as a senior in high school. In
