The best league in the world: the US NFL’s net revenue last year was almost $12 billion

The league received more than $10 billion from the sale of media rights alone.

While UPL clubs are once again “burying” the idea of a single television pool, American sports leagues are demonstrating how organizations designed to improve, develop and sell their product should work. In particular, the National Football League once again showed record growth in its annual revenues, exceeding the previous figure by 7%.

The NFL generated $11.9 billion in net revenue for 2022, according to Forbes. This is the amount after all taxes have been paid. Overall, the League’s earnings amounted to more than $20 billion.

This amount includes the sale of media rights – about 67% of income, holding events not related to football, bets on Mostbet, as well as other marketing activities.

As a result, by the end of 2022, each of the league’s 32 teams received $372 million from the sale of media rights, league sponsorship, merchandising and product licensing. It is noted that in 2023, the League’s income will increase even more, as new contracts with major broadcasters come into force.
