IFAF Europe Champions League

Le Mans, France to be home of the 2014 IFAF Europe Finals

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he final stages of the 2014 International Federation of American Football Champions League (IFAF CL), will meet in Le Mans, France July 10th – 12th, 2014. These games will feature the winners of Groups A through D listed below.

Group A: Parma Panthers, Thonon-les-Bains Black Panthers, Hohenems Blue Devils
Group B: London Blitz, Templiars Elancourt, Nice Dauphins
Group C: Carlstad Crusaders, Helsinki Roosters, Orebro Black Knights, Copenhagen Towers
Group D: Belgrade Vukovic, Bogazici Sultans

After success, both  in attendance and financially, in a match between the France national team vs. and American All-Star Team the USA Eagles, it was decided Le Mans would be home to the IFAF Europe Finals. It seems certain that Le Mans is becoming a vehicle to spread football, and this will hopefully benefit the local American Football club the Le Mans Caimans.

We also learn that the Hungarian Budapest Cowboys and Spanish Pioners L’Hospitalet will not be participating in Group D and B respectively. The Pioners were finalists in last year’s EFAF Cup, but federal pressures have forced them to withdrawal.
