VIDEO: France’s Elite Highlights & Players of the Week

The first week of the FFFA (French Federation of American Football) action is in the books, and if it is any indication this will be a season to remember in the French league.

Defending champion the Thonon-les-bains Black Panthers got off to a quick start jumping to an early lead and then cruising to beat the Centurions de Nimes 33-20.

The Templiers d’Elancourt and the Saint-Ouen-L’Aumône Cougars battled to a 14-14 tie while the Aix-En-Provence Argonautes asserted themselves handing
Nice Dauphins a 49-7 drubbing.

The FFFA Elite players of the week are the Centurions American import TE Benjamin Weischedel who caught 7 passes for 107 yards and 2 TDs.  Flash de la Courneuve‘s French DL Samuel Norca recorded 5 solo tackles and 3 sacks on his way to be named defensive player of the week.
