Warsaw Eagles soar past Lowlanders in early season Polish Football League action

The defending Polish Football League champion Warsaw Eagles (2-0) took another step in their title defense with a convincing 27–7 road victory over the Białystok Lowlanders (0-1), using a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense to control the game from the second quarter onward.

Early fireworks, then Eagles take over
The Lowlanders struck first with a spectacular 95-yard kickoff return touchdown by Bernardo Horevitch, but the Eagles responded quickly. Quarterback Clark Hazlett connected with Krzysztof Nosow on an 85-yard touchdown pass to even the score, then added a 30-yard rushing touchdown of his own in the second quarter. Kicker Filip Twardowski contributed a field goal and three extra points to help build a 17–7 halftime lead.

Defense locks down, ground game closes it
The Eagles defense shut out Białystok after the opening score, limiting opportunities for Brett Pullman and the Lowlanders offense. Running back Mateusz Ozimek put the game out of reach in the third quarter with a 55-yard touchdown run, sealing a strong all-around performance.

Strong start to title defense
The win reinforces Warsaw’s status as the team to beat in the PFL, showing both explosiveness and discipline on the road. For Białystok, the loss is a tough start to the Byron McAdams era, though the kick return provided a bright spot in an otherwise challenging opener.
