Wire-to-wire stats leaders as playoffs loom in France

The French Federation of American Football Elite division regular season wound up a couple of weeks ago and with the wild card playoffs looming let’s take a look at the final stats leaders.

Thonon Black Panthers QB Clark Evans led his team to an unbeaten season in France and his rushing ability was a key as he topped all rushers. Marseille Blue Stars QB Chase Burton was crucial to his team’s performance and he was the leading passer in the country from the season’s opening game. Quentin Gramage of the Montpellier Hurricanes was the runaway receiving yardage leader and it wasn’t even close. He accounted for half of his team’s total receiving yards.

The  Marseilles Blue Stars had three players among the three categories while the Amiens Spartiates, Montpellier Hurricanes, Thonon Black Panthers and Rouen Leopards have two each. The Grenoble Centaures, St. Ouen l’Aumône Cougars, La Courneuve Flash andAsnieres Molosses each had one representative. The Bron-Villeurbanne Falcons, Aix–en-Provence Argonautes and Evry Corsaires did not have a single player among the top five in any category at year’s end.

Passing

 

Marseille Blue Stars QB Chase Burton led the passing yardage list from start to finish after leading his team to a 7-3 record and throwing for 2,496 yards and a league-best 32 TDs in 10 games.He is followed by Hughes Hunter of the Montpellier Hurricanes who had 2,155 yards and 22 TDs. Grenoble Centaures pivot Sonny Weishaupt wound up 3rd with 1,867 yards and 18 TDs. Rouen Leopards QB Caleb Bedford finished 4th with 1,635 yards while Luke Casey of the St. Ouen l’Aumône Cougars was 5th with 1,621 yards..

Rushing

Thonon’s Clark Evans led all rushers with 1,012 yards and a league-leading 15 TDs..  Amiens Spartiates RB Dylan Prajet finished 2nd after a late-season spurt and had 761 yards. La Courneuve Flash RB Jason Bofunda had 707 yards and 6 TDs to finish in 3rd while Thonon RB Kasper Wedberg from Sweden surged late in the year and finished with 673 yards, good for 4th. Darius Dawsey of the Spartiates wound up 5th with 652 yards.

Receiving

Montpellier Hurricanes WR Quentin Gramage was the leading receiver in France from the opening game to the last and wound up with 1,110 yards and 14 TDs. Nicolas Cremer of the Rouen Leopards finished 2nd with his 754 yards while  Hadrien Lynda  of the Marseille Blue Stars finished 3rd. He collected 574 yards. Lynda’s teammate, Rudy Dumar trails in 4th with 539 yards and 7 TDs. Asnieres Molosses WR Ralph Rosalie rounds off the list in 5th with 489 yards.
