Zander Horvath, KeeSean Johnson and Tyson Philpot are August’s Players of the Month in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The recognition highlights exceptional statistical performances, pivotal plays, game-breaking feats and more across Weeks 10-13 of the season.
The three players were chosen by a panel composed of representatives from the CFL’s Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.

- KEESEAN JOHNSON | REC | SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (2-2 IN AUGUST; 7-4 OVERALL)
- 31 receptions for 409 yards
- Two receiving touchdowns
- Two 100-receiving yard+ performances
- Averaged 102.3 receiving yards per game
- Week 13 (SSK 28 – TOR 24): 10 receptions for career-high 146 yards and one touchdown
- Two Player of the Week honours (W10 and W13); three this season
- Ranks second in receptions (77) and third in receiving yards (990)
- TYSON PHILPOT | REC | MONTREAL ALOUETTES (2-1 IN AUGUST; 9-2 OVERALL)
- 26 receptions for 293 yards
- At least one touchdown reception in each game; six total
- Week 10 (MTL 48 – EDM 30): 10 receptions for 131 yards; first career three-touchdown game
- One Player of the Week honour (W10); five this season
- Second Player of the Month recognition (June)
