The Navigators are the five time champion of the Portuguese League (LPFA). They have only lost one game in five years and have been by far the best team in Portugal over that time period.

The Navigators head coach is Amílcar Piedade and they have a number of players who have been with the team since the start of the LPFA. Players of note include quarterback José Pedro, who has been with the Navigators for the last seven years, fullback Filipe Grangeiro, one of the most feared players in the league, and the defensive captain André Monteiro.

This year they have lost one of their most influential players, Marco Madeira, who has retired although he still practices with the team. This year won’t be easy for the Navigators as they are entering a rebuilding phase with many of the veterans stepping down.
