Raiders Tirol sign Swedish giant Oscar Strömstedt

The Raiders Tirol of the European League of Football (ELF) have signed Swedish offensive lineman, and soon to be the largest man in the league, Oscar Strömstedt.

Standing at 6 ‘10 and 342 pounds, Strömstedt truly is a force to be reckoned with. He spent three seasons as a relatively unknown entity with the Tyresö Royal Crowns in the Swedish second division. After winning the second division in 2021, the Crowns were promoted to the Superseries and finished fourth the following year. It was here that Strömstedt first began to earn some notoriety.

Following the ‘22 Superseries season in Sweden, Strömstedt signed to play in the Maple League, Finland’s top league, with the Seinäjoki Crocodiles. The then 23-year old had an immediate impact and played a vital role on the Crocodiles’ massively improved team. Despite failing to win the Maple Bowl, Strömstedt was named to the AFF All Finland Team First Team Offense in 2022 and to the SAJL 2023 All Stars Offensive Right Tackle.

Now just 24-years old and entering the hottest league in Europe, Strömstedt is in a prime position to establish himself as one of the top lineman in Europe. He may not be as technically refined as you would like but has the measurables to garner real attention for the NFL IPP scouts. He will likely earn an invite to the combine next year if he performs well in the ELF 2024 season.
